Analog Photography

In October 2014, we had the chance to participate in a photography course at Kunstuni Linz. As part of that, we had to take pictures using an analog SLR (Pentax 6×7 with medium format film). Thereby, we were forced to think about each aspect of the image that is finally captured on film (exposure, focus, aperture, etc.) without any sort of automatism. This was a unique experience, because the workflow for capturing and developing a photo is very different to what we are used to today.

The photos in this album were not digitally altered or edited in any way, apart from cropping them after scanning and normalizing the histogram.
